‘The Flâneur’
My latest Project was the first group work of vea collective, which I am part of since a few months. The artworks was
commissioned by collectives encounter's currator Yasmina Reggad for an exhibition during the format festival in derby 2011.
The Flaneur is described as someone who strolls the streets. But there is something significant about the fact that most of these images don’t depict movement. The flaneur in this series is shown as someone who in the moment of being photographed stagnates, someone who observes, but does he actually reflect or relate himself to his environment, the space in which nature appears artificial and constructed?
These Pictures have been photographed in different places in London (London Zoo, City Farm, Westbank) The Series will be shown as part of a Group project of Vea collective during the FORMAT Festival in March 2011 in Derby.
