‘Hearts and Minds‘

The rhetoric of the ‘war on terror’ has shifted in recent years towards the language of winning ‘hearts and minds’. But the Gaza Strip is one front in the ‘war on terror’ where hearts and minds are being forgotten. And at worst are deliberately brutalized to serve political aims.

Cut off from the outside world, and under an international blockade, we are rarely afforded glimpses into the daily lives of the 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza, beyond the one-dimensional representations of militants or the impoverished. This project is a testament to the strength, resilience, and enduring humanity of a people living under siege.
