I spent the last view days in the worlds biggest animal shelter, which is on the brink of a a City called Pitesti close to Bucharest/Romania. This animal shelter called 'smeura' accomodates about 3500 Dogs at the moment, about 70 employees take care of them as good as they can but considering the hugh amount of animals (not just dogs, but also cats, donkeys, hourses, geese,
goats … ) its a difficult challenge.

There are thousands of homeless Dogs on the streets of Bucharest, some of them live close to parks where People who live around feed them in the evening, others stay close to places like Factory sites, Markets, Schools , etc.., where workers take care of them. But the most of them are on their own, their condition is unfortunate, these animals don't just beg for food and water but for love, what made me very sad and helpless.

‘Memories of a beloved Place’ is about memories of my childhood, in a rural, traditional and in my opinion highly valuable, nature orientated world. Doing this project helped me to keep my memories alive and hopefully those of others..My prefered camera is the Rolleiflex, I love the way ’she’ alows me to look at the world. But I always take digital shots as a backup.
